Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter are expected to serve up a potential fight of the year contender in Las Vegas when they meet in the middle of the ring on Saturday night. ‘Bud’ is looking to make it six successive knockouts since he moved up to welterweight back in 2018 after becoming the undisputed king at super-lightweight.
Crawford’s hit-list includes Jeff Horn, Jose Benavidez Jr, Amir Khan, Egidijus Kavaliauskas and Kell Brook with his record currently standing at 37-0.
And while this may not be the blockbuster unification that everybody wants to see with Errol Spence Jr, Porter is largely considered a top-level operator and the third-best fighter in the division.
‘Showtime’ always bring the action and has never been in a dull encounter, meaning we are set for fireworks in Sin City.
Porter has never ducked a challenge, with his record now reading 31-3-1 after losing his WBC strap to Spence in September 2019.
And if there was ever a time for Crawford to cement his legacy as an all-time great, beating Porter would be the perfect way to go about his business to once again set up the chance to meet with Spence.

Elsewhere, British cruiserweight Richard Riakporhe is back in action following his return last month after a 22-month lay-off.
The Londoner has been handed an extra incentive with the WBC confirming his bout with Olanrewaju Durodola is an eliminator for the world title.
The belt is currently held by Ilunga Makabu, who is now set to defend his green strap against pound-for-pound king Canelo Alvarez, who will be moving up after clearing out the super-middleweight division.
Dan Azeez, Natasha Jones and Florian Marko are also on the card and Express Sport has all the details you need to know to tune into the action…
